Since 2002 the „PRUFOS (Police Reporting UFO-Sightings) Database“ hosted by serving Detective Constable Gary Heseltine of the British Transport Police (BTP) in Leeds is listing UFO-sightings reported by members of the Police (on and off duty). In the section „On Duty Sightings - C" he lists the following a report of a so far unknown single crop circle near Gwent in South Wales in June of 1991:

149. June 1991. 0500 hours. Gwent, South Wales.
Two uniformed officers a police sergeant and a female police constable were driving in the Blackwood area of Gwent in a rural location when they saw two orange UFOs circling above a farmer’s field. They stopped the vehicle and got out to watch. After about 10 minutes the objects disappeared in different directions. As the sun came up they saw a newly made crop circle under where the objects had been seen darting about the sky. Fearful of ridicule neither officer reported the incident. They made a pact not to report the incident.

The PRUFOS-archive only lists reports of confirmed members of the police. In this case the report came in from the two officer's chief who confirmed the credibility of his two officers to PRUFOS. Further attempts to get in direct contact with the involved officers are in progress.

Seit 2002 listet Detective Constable Gary Heseltine von der "British Transport Police (BTP)" in Leeds auf seiner Homepage: „PRUFOS (Police Reporting UFO-Sightings) Database“ Berichte von UFO-Sichtungen durch Polizeipersonal.
In der Kategorie mit Sichtungen während der Dienstzeit „On Duty Sightings - C" führt das PRUFOS-Archive folgenden Fall eines bisher unbekannten Kornkreises nahe Gwent in South Wales im Juni 1991:

149. June 1991. 0500 Uhr. Gwent, South Wales.
Zwei uniformierte Beamte, ein Polizei-Sergeant und ein weiblicher Constable fuhren durch die ländlichen Blackwoods nahe Gwent, als sie plötzlich zwei orangenfarbene UFOs über einem Feld kreisen sahen. Sie hielten ihr Fahrzeug an und stiegen aus. Nach etwa 10 Minuten verschwanden die Objekte in unterschiedliche Richtungen. Als die Sonne aufging entdeckten sie einen neu entstandenen Kornkreis an jener Stelle über der die Objekte in den Himmel stachen. Aus Angst für das was sie gesehen hatten verspottet zu werden, machten beide keine offizielle Meldung und schworen sich gegenseitig nicht darüber zu sprechen.

Das PRUFOS-Archiv führt lediglich jene Berichte, deren Autoren als Polizeibeamte bestätigt werden konnten. In diesem fall stammt der Bericht über die Beobachtung der beiden Beamten von deren Vorgesetzten, der wiederum die Glaubwürdigkeit seiner Officers gegenüber Heseltine bestätigte. Weitere Versuche, die beiden Beamten doch noch zu einer offiziellen Aussage zu bewegen, sind in Arbeit.
